On all levels of our
life decisions are taken based on dialogues. From establishing a friendship, to get
married or divorced, or to buy or sell something, to work in a specific job or
project, to travel to a specific place, to make piece or war. All these contacts pass inevitably through claims, advices, orders, acceptances,
refusals, and involve linguistic properties. As we can see, the decision-making involved can be
described inside a dialogic perspective.
Such
a complex chain may be
understood as a chain and a
history of arguments, inferences, assumptions, positions,
beliefs, emotions, intentions, media, laws,
representatives, audiences, governments, political and economic parties, groups
or even much of the society.
In terms of communication, it is possible to
approach, among others, the argumentative, persuasive, rhetorical, media
processes, and above all, the dialogic framework, besides all sub properties related to each level.
